What is grant funding?

Grant funding is government funding towards an approved innovation or R&D project. It is generally non-dilutive and non-repayable, so you put more money into your roadmap without giving up equity.
How much: typically £/€100K to £/€2M+, depending on the programme and project.
What it can fund: founder and employee time, technical hires, development, research, prototypes, testing, subcontractors and other approved project costs.
Typical routes: Innovate UK, Horizon Europe, EIC Accelerator and other sector-specific programmes.
